what can i say? a lot of bad things happened to Djonah and the weekend was still a blast! this was the first event i have gotten hit with a 'break limb' and it happened twice! unfortunately, one of which was during the stealth mod, and i had to muffle a scream before i got brain-dusted by neptune!

the pirates were a fun mod and myself and Gorrhak were stuck outside by ourselves unsure if diplomacy was an option..it wasnt!

Also, i believe that congratulations are in order for Yoshi! Happy Father's day to the proud parent of..some weird fish/obake hybrid...

Smolder and Frigid were fantastically well rp'ed!!

food was delicious as always! kitchen staff continues to blow minds and explode stomachs!!

the terrifying boogeyman infecting the graveborn was an excellent lesson in teaching us to better prepare for battle! i feel like there could be a way to know like how many bodies we should throw at any given mod (i know we sometimes throw a town at a small plot arc and are ill prepared for main mods)

which takes me to the terrifying exorcism/door fight, Krystyna did a fantastic job! i loved all the pcs that got to help with significant npc roles and im sure it helped staff out loads and eased their burden!

segue into every single combat mod was fantastically done!

Where to begin?
Torren's return as the Spirit of the Hunt was a shock and watching him plunge his sword into Pradeth's chest was very dramatic!

The moonglow Jungle was amazing. The Gravemind is really interesting and I enjoyed interacting with the Rex.
I was lowkey sweating bullets about proving myself as a warrior but I think i rolled a 20 cause they really liked it when I cut open my face (plus I felt like a badass)
I really enjoyed running around and being goofy as a Mukkin, even though my genitals did get ripped off, i guess??

my favorite mods were the Red Orc stealth mission, Moonglow Jungle, and Splatter mod.

More about that one: Whilst on the splatter mod, i couldn't help but feel powerless, relying on nothing but my reaction time and my few defenses to stay alive as i watched friend after friend fall. Being reminded that you can fail, legitimizing threats and raising stakes is almost as important in a good story as rising above the threats itself. Which is why that mod was important to me as a player. We took heavy casualties but thanks to our teamwork and determination, in the end we prevailed and showed ourselves to be stronger than we had imagined.

As always, the community in this game is top notch and one of the biggest reasons to play. THANK YOU to staff and other players for making this game really fun!

Hands-down my favorite single moment was everyone killing the ichor with healing.

Other highlights (in no order):
-Fuji's new bobbin name - and him being very pleased, all while Yoshi was SO offended for him.
-The return of Torrin Apexbane (and Chavok not dying!)
-The Maniovelli trial. I thought all the NPCs were great in those roles, it was a very satisfying conclusion to the plot, and then Augustus Maniovelli's private chat with (part of) the town made the mod for me. I loved the idea that this proud noble would be more interested in what HE was going to do to clear his family name than in what Il Paronde was going to do to his degenerate son.
-The gravemind!! Totally worth being insulted as Yum-Nums. (Also, "How can I tell you apart from the Yum-Nums?" "Ummm...EVERYTHING ABOUT US??")
-The rescue stealth mod Saturday night.
-Showing Valentina how to break limbs.

Overall I had a great event. Loved all the fighting and RPing with people - I started listing names, but it's too many. Looking forward to August!

Another really great weekend! Awesome job Staff! You always out do yourself! We actually recorded a podcast episode talking about the event, I'll post it on this thread once it is live.

NPCing the Unbound was one of my favorite moments ever LARPing. We prepped for a long time before sending that mod out. Jacob and Joseph were great to work with and get story and direction from for these roles. It can be a bit of pressure not wanting to mess up any lore or things going on it game. I appreciate the opportunity to play a role like that and am excited to see what will happen next! And working off of Evan was great!

The Moonglow jungle was off the charts! Great way to start a weekend! Staff did great RP that whole time. Hats off!

Of course I loved the Red Orc mods. The stealth mod was fun even being the back up crew, it really did feel like a Metal Gear or Skyrim rogues guild quest and was awesome!

I think most of town missed it, but there was a great mini mod for the wrymkin late on Friday. Really interested to hear more of that one too!

Main mod was... I don't know know the right word... It hurt and I thought this was the end of Port Harmony... I am really glad staff is not afraid to push us and challenge us made for an epic battle!

This event was awesome! First and foremost thanks to all that helped us out in the Tavern this weekend. You made my life better by it and kept my stress down!

Highlights:
-Renaming Fuji with Mabel. As she aptly put it...all the best people have food names!
-Watching Evan and Ashton's pirate NPCs. It's hard to keep a straight face sometimes when those two role play together because they mesh so well and get SO into character
-Watching the council elections. As someone who never gets involved with any fighting and spends my time doing a lot of listening in the tavern, it is really great to see the difference in in-game political opinions, battle tactics/methods, etc. The depths of the FD world have really deepened and thats pretty wonderful. I think we had some amazing candidates up there that fielded some pretty tough questions from the crowd
-Hearing Joe/RA! walk off after he realized he didn't win and go "oh wow, for a minute I thought you guys were the dumbest people in the world" which was hilarious.
-Watching Andrew and Joe's characters try to imitate Eleanor's character by balancing weapons on their heads and being graceful.
-Getting to meet new players. Always a highlight for me to watch the FD family grow
-Getting half of the players that passed me in on a joke making fun of Yoshi, which while we did not execute- brought us all a lot of joy and laughter. There's always next time

Hope to see everyone at the Bobbin Party!

Had a great event as usual. I had a lot of opportunities for some good RP this weekend and you all did not disappoint.

Firstly, getting to walk onto the Moonglow mod was super cool. I hadn't seen it all set up beforehand and it looked FANTASTIC. It was really satisfying to see all the stuff I bought all set up. Great job Joe and Josh (and anyone else who helped set it up).
The RP on that mod was excellent. I especially enjoyed seeing Wolfgang "Trip Balls" on spores (holi powder) for an hour. Dude did not let up. It was great.

I enjoyed hooking the shadow mod. Grumpy Nazeem is fun to play. I enjoyed pulling more then just my usual crowd for that mod too.

Loved my role for the Trial. It was fun playing a different style character and the interactions I had with her were good. Everyone's RP for the trail in general was excellent. And of course I will always cherish Brodi back handing David Chase. (lol, I kid...>.>).

Krystyna's portrayal of a possessed little girl was frighteningly spot on. That was a fun fight to marshal.

And then there was feast. That was fun. Not the way I planned for dinner to go. But I also didn't expect to be sitting next to the one person with a certain something in their pocket. (Sorry I tried to kill you).
Obes and Brodi put it best, "I have 75 xp on my sheet and apparently the only way I have to stop someone is to grab them and fall to the floor with all my weight." Dragging to grown ass men around like 3 year olds was hysterical.
"Oh yeah, Dani, do you consent to physical RP".

Lastly the assassination mod was top notch. I spent a long time setting up that mod and it paid off. I loved crawling through the grass in the shadows with everyone.
The RP from Hakon was off the flipping charts. I haven't seen a moment like that at a larp in a long time. And everyone was such great sports about getting stuck.
Late night fun at the Mossy Trove was the best. And the best accidental request for a title to date.

I love playing with all you guys and can't wait for more.

Oh maaaan so much happened this event!!!

Torrin Apexblade and the Mistwalker and the Spirit of the Hunt- crazy shenanigains, how will we save Leia?!?

Nemetal has a son and this is my favorite thing ever. That stealth mod was HOT!

THE MOONGLOW FOREST WAS AMAZING!!!

Mukkin mating season!! I want a fox-eared Mukkin child to approach Yoshi LOL

Being that possessed child was extremely fun, sorry if you were on the receiving end of my insults though! “Oh, Gorhak- hahaha, not even a face a MOTHER could love!” “Hey Yoshi, are you going to kill me like you killed that pirate boy last year?!” Sorry not sorry :P

Sorry @ NPC Kayla for mugging you and then escorting you home, but you were kinda under mind effects from a weird vampire bug so we do what we gotta do sometimes!

Learning that Mable is the strongest warrior in town was such a big mind-blown moment for Valentina, she was super impressed to hear about this and was so thrilled that Mable was willing to help her learn how to become a better warrior!

Fuji teaching Valentina how to run ~super fast~ by running with inverted weapons in each hand

APPLEJACK RIDING THE GRAVEMIND INTO BATTLE!!!
Valentina learning that this Terra nova is actually serious stuff, living here is no cakewalk, as she leared from seeing how quickly a third of the town died in battle!

How about that creepy galaxy lizard?!? Wyrmkin, we got our hands full! (Seriously was concerned for Pat at multiple points in that mod LOL!)
